John is a personal assistant used by a single person, Jake Millett. It is not offered to the public. This page explains what John accesses and what it does with it.

What John accesses

• Gmail: messages in accounts Jake connects, to find tasks, deadlines and requests.
• Google Calendar: events on connected calendars, and events Jake asks John to create or change.
• Google Drive and Docs: meeting notes and transcripts, and notes Jake asks John to write.
• Google Contacts: names and addresses, to recognize who a message is from.

How it is used

This data is used only to create, prioritize and remind Jake of his own tasks and schedule. Text is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to identify tasks; Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. Data is stored in an encrypted database controlled by Jake and is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any other purpose.

John's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account permissions. When an account is disconnected, its stored messages and derived data are deleted.
